Keto Crab cauliflower Mac n cheese is a great keto dinner casserole, whipped up easily for your next delicious meal.
Step 1: Roast Cauliflower
To begin, you’ll roast your chopped cauliflower florets and place them on a non-stick baking sheet or parchment paper.
Next, roast them at 400°F for about 10 minutes or until you see them start to get a little golden.
How many carbs are in cauliflower?
One cup of cauliflower has only 5g. carbs.
Does canned crab have carbs?
Canned crab may have 1-2 g. carbs, but fresh crab has 0 carbs.
Be careful to not use imitation crab, as it can contain up to 13 g. carbs per serving.
How many carbs are in mac and cheese?
There are typically 44g. of carbs in a regular serving of mac and cheese.
This recipe is inspired by one of my favorite seafood mac and cheese recipe, but way lower in carbs.
Step 2: Add other ingredients for a cheesy crab mac bake
First, roast the cauliflower.
Meanwhile, melt butter and cream cheese over medium heat in a large pot.
Add in some dijon mustard, then shredded cheeses.
Next, mix and add crab and Old Bay seasoning, your favorite seafood or cajun seasonings.
Step 3: Pour cheesy goodness over roasted cauliflower & bake
Finally, add this mixture to your roasted cauliflower and bake.
What cheese should I use?
I used a blend of cheddar and Italian shredded cheese.
You may also use parmesan cheese, as it pairs well with crab.

Sides for crab mac
Grab a low-carb tortilla, cut into triangles and fry and a teaspoon of olive oil to make your own low carb tortilla chips for dipping into the casserole.
Toast and butter low carb bread as a side to this casserole or serve with parmesan-crusted zucchini chips.
Or, try a nice green veggie or side salad for this rich and creamy keto seafood mac and cheese.
How long will this keep in the fridge?
I recommend eating this recipe by the third day, when everything is most fresh.
Can I freeze keto crab mac and cheese casserole?
I do not recommend freezing cauliflower once cooked with cream cheese.
What can I use if I don’t have cauliflower?
Mushroom lover? Sauté mushrooms and add other ingredients for a cheesy mushroom-crab casserole.
If you have low-carb tortillas lying around, make a crab mix with cheese for a low-carb crab quesadilla.
Keto Crab Mac and Cheese
- 1 cauliflower head chopped into florets
- 1 tbsp butter
- 2 oz cream cheese
- ¾ cup heavy whipping cream
- 1 tsp dijon mustard
- ¾ cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1½ cups shredded Italian cheese blend or mozzarella
- 2 cans crab meat drained of juice
- 1 tbsp Old Bay Seasoning or favorite seafood seasoning
- Roast cauliflower on a non-stick baking sheet at 400°F for about 10 minutes.
- Meanwhile, melt butter and cream cheese over medium heat in a large pot.
- Add heavy cream.
- Add dijon mustard.
- Add shredded cheeses.
- Add crab. Stir.
- Pour mixture over cauliflower.
- Top with extra shredded cheese and bake at 400° for 20-25 minutes.
